Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL)

Project Overview

Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) is one of India’s most ambitious and complex railway infrastructure projects, connecting the Kashmir Valley to the national rail network through challenging Himalayan terrain. Our scope included the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of LT panels and distribution panels, ensuring reliable power distribution for tunnels and associated infrastructure under extreme environmental conditions.

Powering the USBRL Tunnel Network in Jammu & Kashmir

The scope centred on ensuring reliable and uninterrupted power distribution across tunnel infrastructure and associated railway facilities in the challenging terrain of Jammu & Kashmir. Kontact supplied and commissioned LT panels and distribution panels rated at 415–433V, designed to withstand extreme environmental conditions, ensuring safe and efficient power flow throughout the USBRL tunnel network.
